Description
Raspberry Pi Zero HAT board for small-scale RC cars for autonomous racing. This is the baby brother to the Cycloid HAT with an integrated Electronic Speed Control.
Connects to 2S Lipo batteries, drives small-ish motors (acts as an RC ESC) and connects to standard 3-pin servo.
Uses an STM8 microcontroller mainly for its 5-volt operation to drive MOSFET gates and open drain current-sinking capability to turn them off. Also because it's an affordable part with an open toolchain.
Also on board is an ICM20600 accelerometer and gyro, the successor to the MPU-9250.
Still in prototyping stage.
