Description
This board is used to distribute power from a +5V/10A power adapter using a 2.1mm DC jack. The power is then distributed to the following hardware. - HDMI Splitter (2.1mm DC jack) - HDMI2AV Converter (USB 2.0 Mini-B 5-pin) - Raspberry Pi (USB 2.0 Micro-B 5-pin) - LPD8806 LEDs (JST SM 5-pin) It also provides a communications channel using the 3-pin and 4-pin headers between the Raspberry Pi and the LPD8806 LEDs. Although, in this project LPD8806 LEDs are used, other LED types like LPD6803, APA102, and WS2801 may also be used. These are listed as being compatible in the Hyperion site.
