Description
This board is part of the [AQmon project][AQmon]. It provides adapter 2 modules for the PMSx003 particulate matter ([PM][]) sensors by [Plantower][]: - ``USB adapter module`` - ``Break out module`` [AQmon]: https://github.com/avaldebe/AQmon/tree/v2 [Plantower]: http://www.plantower.com [PM]: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Particulates The PMS1003, PMS3003 and PMS5003 sensors use a [8 pin connector][8pin] (Molex 1.25mm "PicoBlade" 51021 compatible, found online as 1.25mm JST). The PMS7003 and PMSA003 sensors require a [10 pin connector][Apin] (5x2 1.27mm female header). All PMSx003 sensors need 5V to power the laser and fan, but communicate at 3.3V TTL via serial protocol (UART 9600 8N1). The ``USB adapter module`` implements a 3.3V UART to USB converter using the [CH340E][] IC, and provides 5V power from the USB to the sensor via the [8 pin connector][8pin]. The ``Break out module`` breaks out the sensors pins into a 6 pin 2.54mm header from the [8 pin][8pin] and [10 pin][Apin] connectors.
