Description
Some time ago I got a whole bunch of russian VFD tubes. I want to use them as a long matrix-display to show the departures of my closest bus stop. Therefore I created a pcb that drives 8 tubes each. Each tube gets its own 74HC595 shift register, that sets the outputs of a TD62786 high side source driver, which in turn drives the actual tube. Each dot of each tube can be adressed by shifting in its value into the shift register. That way, multiple modules can be daisychained after another.
