Description
According to the architecture of protection relay, is proposed the corresponding hardware in which is referred as “IoT based Multipurpose Relay” (IoTMR). The core of IoTMR is the IoT board of the Particle® brand with integrated WiFi protocol (although it can be used any protocol), specifically the Photon® board is used for signal processing, programing algorithms and generation of tripping actions; three current and three voltage sensors are used for reducing the corresponding current and voltage signals coming from any electrical didactic system , 8- channel solid state relays for tripping (and discrete inputs)  the corresponding switchgears (in this case conventional contactors), and a DC source for feeding all the components of the IoTMR . The main idea behind this hardware, it can be used be used for implementation of the most common protection relays, more specifically an Inverse Definite Mean Time non directional overcurrent relay (IDMT).
