Description
Demonstrating the need for - and effects of - a DC path to ground from every node in a circuit 01. This simulation runs because there is a DC path to ground from node B through Rdcpath1 so the simulator can find a set of steady state DC initial conditions around the circuit. However, it gives voltages across the capacitors that are defined only by the DC presence of Rdcpath1 and which are in no way related to the charge sharing due to the ratio of the capacitors. Try moving RDCPATH1 so that it is reconnected from node B to node A. Then try adding a second DC path resistor RDCPATH2 connected from node B to ground to see what happens. See what effect changing the resistor values has.
