Description
Illustrating the use of ramped supplies to start up a Colpitts Oscillator.
The simulation shows two identical oscillators, one with the supplies at +/-5V at t=0 and the other with the supplies ramped up from zero to +/-5V.
The ramped supply oscillator starts immediately whereas the steady supply rail version takes almost 100us to start.
