Description

V 0.4. version of the project

  • SIM800L was replaced by SIM7000E which support 2G,4G, and nb-iot (useful in future)
  • in previous version modules like arduino pro mini, sim800l... were bought separately and then soldered together on PCB. Now we design PCB from scratch using SMD components, mostly size 1206.
  • there are two headers, one for serial connection (debugging) and one for programming atmega chip.
  • i2c connector was added so we could possibly connect ultrasonic anemometer in future (battery supply is there just in case)
  • for power supply we used modified TP4056 - (mostly standard parts, FS8205 was used because it allows minimum voltage of 2.9V to save the battery)

TO-DO

  • check for design mistakes in scheme
  • design PCB
  • explore option on SIM7000E to use "RI" net label when SMS is received to restart both arduino and SIM7000E
