Description
An I2C IO port expander using two PCF8574, one of which configured as an input only while the other one as an output only device, giving us an extra 16 pins in total - 8 input plus 8 output pins for any microcontroller. In this case, the circuit is designed to be used as a shield for the Arduino Uno. An extra 'companion shield' is also provided to test the IO expander.
