Description
The Low-Noise SEPIC-Linear Hybrid Power Supply Module is designed to output up to 30V at 1A for a wide input voltage range of 12-32V. The SEPIC converter stage allows the user to use the full output voltage range even for input voltages lower than the output voltage. Thus, the user can power the power supply module from a 12V battery or standard 12V/15V/18V/24V wall adaptor. The linear regulator output stage ensures low output noise and fast short circuit response. The SEPIC converter acts as a pre-regulator to the linear regulator. The circuit is protected from input reverse polarity using an ideal-diode circuit, which uses the IRF4905 P-Channel MOSFET with a low ON resistance of 22mΩ. The output voltage is fully adjustable between 1V to 30V and the current limit between 0A – 1A. The output voltage can drop to 0V in constant current mode, but not in constant voltage mode. The output voltage and current are measured by the 16-bit ADS1115 ADC module and the values are sent to the Arduino Uno using I2C Protocol. The Arduino Uno then calculates the power consumed.
