Description
The Switched Mode Power Supply (SMPS) design excercise is one of the two major design excercises in the second year. Both excerises off youu the opportunity to undeertake a realistic design task, putting to use the theory you have learnt in the first year and some of the second year. Brieffly stated, you have 45 hours to design and build a 45W SMPS toa demanding specification. We hope the exercise will prove interesting and leave you with some confidence that youu can design.
