Description
#Project for easy work with LCD20xx/LCD16xx by means of I2C Project uses I2C to receive strings in format of used LCDxxxx. Standart I2C-address can be changed by means of jumpers. Can be used with 5v/3.3v signals. Also support 3v/5v LCD's. Can be adopted to graphic LCD12864 and some similar. ##I2C protocol adaptation: Device is I2C Slave. Works as 24C04 memory. One-byte [InternalAddress] used to select start position of string. I2C-address - one of [0xA4,0xA6,0xA8,0xAA]. Used to connect a set of LCD's to one I2C master. I2C protocol [I2C-start]+[I2C-DeviceAddress]+[I2C-InternalAddress]+[Symbol1]+[Symbol2]+...+[I2C-stop] When I2C-Stop received device places all information to LCDxxxx, starting from [InternalAddress] [InternalAddress] coding: [0x00-0x7F] - direct place string to LCD bit mask:[0LLLpppp] [LLL] - Line number 0-7, [pppp] - position in line. [0x80-0xFF] - Set of configuration settings.
