Description
A CS42448 multi-channel audio codec breakout board for the Electrosmith Daisy development board
note This PCB does not provide any analog filtering or biasing for the input and output signals and must be done externally. Please refer to the CS42448 data sheet for more info.
This board breaks out the 6 input and 8 output differential audio signal pairs of the CS42448. The digital signaling (TDM) and control (I2C) are routed to the Teensy. The CS42448 is outfitted with bypass capacitors as recommended in the Data sheet, although MLCC ceramics were used in place of electrolytics in several cases.
The small size of this board required a significant amount of routing directly under the codec. Do not expect superior noise performance.
