I don't think there are much extensions and there is also no registry :/ I guess the main cause for this is the bad documentation. It is vastly incomplete and examples are not working at all. Wow\! Didn't know that tags could be listed that nicely on GH\! Btw\, is it that \`banner\` thing that shows up in your repos when they listed that way?

@turbobabr you can add a "Social preview" image in the "Settings" tab of your repo. It will show up in this list and on services that do link preview (twitter, facebook etc.)
