EasyEDA is very slow

As I added more components, and copper fills, easyEDA pretty much become unresponsive.  It takes seconds to select or unselect, rotate, zoom, switch tabs.  My PC is running i8250u CPU with 16GB RAM andChrome browser.  T [https://easyeda\.com/bob123/mainboard\_copy\_copy\_copy\_copy\_copy\_copy\_copy](https://easyeda.com/bob123/mainboard_copy_copy_copy_copy_copy_copy_copy) 1\. Is there something I have enabled that is slowing easyEDA down to a crawl? 2\. Is there a way to change project's path? thank you Bob

Hi Your project at my side not very slow. can you try firefox? we are develop a new engine ,it will solve the slow issue thoroughly, That will release at the end of this year. Is there a way to change project's path? doesn't support this feature. in the future, when clone the project, we will let user edit the patch. Thanks

I started making all my boards on this software and now I have a larger one to do it slows down so much i can't even use it.. I am so disappointed because i spent all the time to get this far and now i have to abandon it and use another system.. The end of the year is just too far away, can you do something sooner ?

@SteveGunn Hi Because of v6.3 add two features: 1\. All objects support show the ratlines which are containing nets; 2\. Solve bottom layer pads will cover top copper issue\. These feature will make editor slower than before\. There are some methods to try to improve: 1\. Via Tools \- Design Rule\, disable real\-time DRC 2\. Via Settings \- PCB settings\, disable Add Teardrop Automatically 3\. Via Settings \- PCB settings\, disable Net Highlighting While Coursor Hover the Track 4\. Via Settings \- PCB settings\, disable  The Track's Routing Follows Component's Rotation 5\. Via Settings \- PCB settings\, disable  Rebuild Plane Automatically\, and using copper area instead of inner plane layer 6\. Via Settings \- PCB settings\, set Canvas Zoom Effect as Speed Priority 7\. Hide ratline layer before move footprints at PCB 8\. Check footprints which have a lot pad's\, and the pads are polygon type\, please modify them as Retangle or Oval 9\. Suggest PCB doesn't over 300 footprints\, Pads and Vias no more than 1500 We are developing a new engine, over 30 thousand pads still smoonth, It is expected to launch in a year, demo address:[https://lceda.cn/newpcb](https://lceda.cn/newpcb)

@SteveGunn If still very slow, please export to Altium to continue, we didn't realize users will create the big PCB which is over present editor performance.

Dear User Support, you mention: 1\. All objects support show the ratlines which are containing nets; 2\. Solve bottom layer pads will cover top copper issue\. These feature will make editor slower than before\. to be responsible for the slow down. I, too, am plagued by the extremely slow performance on large boards, and personally I would love to have a speedier editor but live with the two bugs shown above. Is it possible to revert to 6.2. ? @SteveGunn: I have figured out a few settings that at least provided some speedup in current version 6.3. 1) Work on my private PC (even via remote desktop) instead of my work pc. The private one is a Ryzen 5 1600 and RX580 GPU. The work one is a Intel Skylake 6700 with IGPU. As the gap between the CPUs is not large, I reckon that it is the much more powerful GPU that helps EasyEDA performance. 2) Hide the Solder Mask Layers (strong speedup) 3) Hide Rat Line layer 4) Hide any layer you are not currently working in

Not sure what happened to easyeda lately but it has become slow as hell, although my machine is quite optimized and recent no way I can keep working on such an unresponsive software.. Too bad it's been great but time to move on to something a bit more professional I guess...

@UserSupport I try this "new" engine and it's really fast, however - what's wrong with the actial version?

dito. Any timeline for the deployment of the new version ? I would even use it (optionally) with some bugs present over the current version.
