My PCB will have a PIC12 MCU that I will use the Tag-Connect TC2030-MCP-FP cable to program. I see there is no official footprint for it in the EasyEDA library, but there are some user contributions. So, it's of course the responsibility of anyone who uses these designs to make sure they are correct. Well, I was hoping I wouldn't have to do that... This is the first PCB I've ever designed, and just figuring out the circuit design, matching components and doing the PCB layout is already a big step in my learning curve. I feel that working with footprints at these really fine tolerances is above my level...
So, I would like to hear from anyone who's used these user-contributed footprints: Did it work? Did the footprint match well with the cable? Which one did you use? (Search for TC-2030-MCP in the library to see them)
Thanks for any input.
