Import .pcblib file

Hi all, I have a simple question: is possible to import a .PcbLib file? I have a PCB footprint of a MEMS speaker and I'd like to import it. I could make it by myself but this is the company's library of the MEMS speaker and as you can imagine is perfect. Thanks for your answer, Giulio Ferrari

"is possible to import a .PcbLib file?" From what EDA tool is this generated? See Import in the Tutorial. [https://docs.easyeda.com/en/Import/Import-Altium-Designer/index.html](https://docs.easyeda.com/en/Import/Import-Altium-Designer/index.html)

@andyfierman it is made from Altium Designer. The import tutorial shows only .pcbDoc and .schDoc files and not pcb libraries.

My lib is not in ASCII. EasyEDA doesen't accept it.

@giulio.ferrari2 The tutorial @andyfierman linked you is how to import libraries from Altium that are **not** in ASCII format, it should work for you.

@cjohnson Well, it doesn't work. As you can see in the following image it is always asking for a ASCII lib. I did file->open->Altium->Load file->Extract libs. Am I missing something? Maybe there's a newer version? I am using Version: 6.1.49 builtDate: 23/05/2019![image.png](//image.easyeda.com/pullimage/s8mGZy5KiH1ndx81nA6XpKXLQSAdYQvsoUmQBlZf.png)

@giulio.ferrari2 ah, you're right. Anyway you could open the file in altium and re-export it?

@cjohnson Unlucky I can't. I wrote to the supplier that made the library but he doesn't answer. Well... I'll find a license in some way.

@giulio.ferrari2, I think maybe you misunderstand how Altium library Import works in EasyEDA. You can only import Altium libraries if they have been included in an Altium ASCII schematic or PCB: "So, if you want to import Altium Designer’s Libs, you can add them to your Altium Designer Schematic or PCB and then extract them again into your EasyEDA library." If you cannot add the libraries to an Altium ASCII schematic or PCB then you cannot import them into EasyEDA. If post the url for the MEMS speaker then maybe we can help you by creating a suitable Schematic Symbol and PCB Footprint.

Is it one of these? [https://www.usound.com/product/ganymede/](https://www.usound.com/product/ganymede/)

Just place the library on the PCB , and the follow the tutorial to import the PCB and extract the libs

@UserSupport, I think @giulio.ferrari2 does not have access to Altium: all he has is a 3rd party library for Altium. If  we knew what part he wanted a lib for I could make one from the datasheet. :)

@andyfierman Yes it is the mems from usound, the ADAP one. Anyway at the end I did it by myself. Thanks to all :)

@UserSupport @andyfierman I did the lib by my self. I could not have the pcbdoc and schdoc files. As Andy said is a third party library. Thanks to all for the support :)
