Is there a good way to convert the 3D .obj export for use in Solidworks?

The .obj file that is exported has a very large number of mesh components. Does anyone know of a good way to convert this to a solid body for use in Solidworks? Or perhaps is there perhaps an alternate way to convert this using the Gerber files or other export options? Thanks!

Hi, I have the same problem with .obj.  Please export the 3D model in a format that we can work with like STEP or IGES. Then everybody can use the model.
