JLCPCB SMT Assembly problems

I've laid out a schematic and PCB ensuring most parts are from [JLCSMT Parts Library](https://jlcpcb.com/client/index.html#/parts) But when I create the BOM, only two parts have "LCSC Assembly" = Yes. See screen grab. So only those two parts will be assembled onto the PCB. Do I need to manually edit the BOM to fix this? What exactly do I need to do? ![Capture.gif](//image.easyeda.com/pullimage/OUM6c9BvHg1FIkdwgBZ4enL6ovxZNTUa0gTTKJB9.gif)

the field "LCSC Assembly" is ignored when you order the pcb. After uploading the gerber, bom and pick and place you can manualy select the component you want to be assembled.

Thanks but this is what I see on JLCPCB create wizard - No part selected. Do I manually have to enter the LCSC part number for each item, even though it's in the BOM?![Screen Shot 2019-10-16 at 9.27.06 pm.png](//image.easyeda.com/pullimage/xQ9iZxf49DUEanpSkCUKZIRf0cKTfwc1Uj7LYhjp.png)

Actually I can't even manually enter the LCSC supplier part numbers. I assumed if I clicked on the little search icon (blue magnifying glass) it would let me type in the LCSC P/No, but that doesn't work.

Yes, you do. your BOM file format should look like this: ![](https://www.jlcpcb.com//email/email/getImage/0f5249d9106547ddbdb6365b3685cef2) The LCSC Part is what the wizzard uses. When using EasyEDA, the easiest way is to get the part directly from the LCSC lib. When using KiCad, use a extra field at your part with the LCSC number. I've made a custom KiCad BOM exporter, just to match the format.

ok I think I found my problem. The SMT assembly service does not have every part in the LCSC catalogue. The part needs to be in: [https://jlcpcb.com/client/index.html#/parts](https://jlcpcb.com/client/index.html#/parts) I assumed if it was in [https://lcsc.com/](https://lcsc.com/) it could be assembled.

how can we solve the **no part selected** problem.

only chose parts that you find in the jlcpbc library [https://jlcpcb.com/client/index.html#/parts](https://jlcpcb.com/client/index.html#/parts) Find the part you want using that link, copy the "LCSC Part #" and type that into the EasyEDA library search. Place the part. Then when you create the BOM it will not have "No part selected"

@patrickfelstead Are you saying they can't/won't load other LCSC stocked parts ?  I thought they just charged a fee for doing so ?

I believe that is correct Mike. I would pay if there was such a charge as their component selection is very small compared to LCSC!

The problem is that JLCPCB is only listing components that have been 'verified' to be compatible with their pick and place machines, both physically and in the parts drawing. Parts have to be not only drawnn correctly, they have to have the correct centering, orientation, pad sizes (solder paste and soldermask), etc. It takes an expert to do that kind of design.  Even small errors result in massive headaches for the assembly line, since parts end up placed incorrectly, are the wrong size, they tombstone, they fall off, etc. The catalg of parts is growing quickly. I also wish that there was a formal method to ask that a common SMT part be verified and added to their catalog; it's hard to belive that a micro-usb connector SMT part is not available!

@edcasati  For micro-usb connector , will proivded soon.  Why?  at the first, we just move the place header a bit more higher than mormal SMD components, just let the machine move faster. The usb connector's highth is bigger than normal.

I  have a component, FT232RL selected from the lcsc library, that has the smt symbol next to it, but after uploading BOM and PickAndPlace files, the part still shows "No part selected" Can someone please help! ![FT_component.png](//image.easyeda.com/pullimage/FpNwGZzITfnyTOjyvTNp3AWcXbS9UikNTvGiNRXS.png)![FT_component2.png](//image.easyeda.com/pullimage/wttkg60rZi17w31odLCrpaLhB4otGbJP5E1Ut8wn.png)
