Looking for 3.5 inch display pcb footprint

Hi, Am trying to search for the component  3.5 inch display  [http://www\.lcdwiki\.com/3\.5inch\_SPI\_Module\_ILI9488\_SKU:MSP3520   ](http://www.lcdwiki.com/3.5inch_SPI_Module_ILI9488_SKU:MSP3520) for pcb  layout  or footprint,  I could create one if not perfect,   but the  dimensions was incomplete in the spec,  like distance between two pin headers at both ends,  the search did not come out with anything, so  does anyone have  actual footprint for this. Thank you

Even if you do find what looks like a suitable footprint in the library,  you have to be absolutely sure that it is correct for the module you are buying. If the vendor does not supply a properly dimensioned datasheet then you cannot be sure that the dimensions will be the same between one order and the next because they are not specified. If you cannot find a proper datasheet for this module then your only reliable option is to buy one and then create a footprint from your own measurements. This is why I recommend only buying parts from reputable suppliers, simply because the quality of the documentation is better. Thanks Andy,   actually  I could not find  from  sites like aliexpress  for  this exact type of display, from a better vendor.  the samples are on the way and wanted to save time by order pcb in advance.  may have to take some assumption for the samples looks like.

In such cases it may help if customers such as yourself contact the suppliers to request that datasheets with fully dimensioned drawings are included on the their device pages. Here's an example text to send to them: \*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\* The information about this product in not enough to be able to create an accurately dimensioned PCB footprint. For example, the supporting information for this device **_does not include the diameter of the mounting holes_**. Please include a datasheets with accurate, fully dimensioned drawings. Trust me it's best to wait until the LCD arrives.  I have a PCB in front of me where the two two screwholes on the LCD were 50mil off the rough drawing I found with Google.  Fortunately a plastic screw can bend that much for testing but obviously means a re-spin of what was otherwise a perfect board.

Is there a reason you are using this LCD rather than the more common 3.5" one ?   I couldn't actually even find the one you are using for sale at any of my usual suppliers. I have 3.5 inch lcd display with ILI9486  available locally with Arduino pinout,no led control ,  however,  it takes lot of pins, due to parallel display ,  open smart was the next choice  because, there is a LED control pin,  however it's also parallel, Raspberry pi  version has spi but no LED control,   so I was looking for SPI display, 3.5 inch, with LED control pin,  the one I have purchased has all the things I need that's the reason for choosing the display.  I already have 2.8 version of this available , which i got it from banggood,  works relatively perfect with ESP32/8266 including touch. Also there is footprint available in easyeda, pcb coming in a week time.   As 3.5 size looks sufficient for my application, MSP3520 ,fits for me. pins are the same as 2.8 version. If i use ESP32 with this display, there are more than enough pins for expansion.

@krazy707 Ah yes - with the ESP devices you are of course short of pins so need SPI.  Where did you buy the display you used ?

got it  from Alibaba,  available in taobao also,   received the displays,  and would check the physical pin layout today,  i was working on software side of it till now, the drawback is that the display is about  at least 50% slower than the 2.8 model due to chip ili9488  , looks good, I have to keep it side by side with 2.8 to find out if it looks better , otherwise it has good space.  have not tested the rpi 3.5 version but i think it would have better performance than this one. ESP12 worked fine with this display so am good,  no need to think of performance unless you want to display Jpeg.

@krazy707 Ah found it at last.  Seems to be £9.28 vs £4.61 for the parallel interface version, both with touch panels.  Seems an excessive difference
