Hi， The below are about **“Basic components” and “Extended components” :** When a part from the Extended Components Library is used, the operator needs to mount the feeders manually, which increases the labor cost, we charge $3 per extended component. Basic components are those frequently used parts like chip resistors, chip capacitors etc. They have already been loaded on P&P machines and occupy the same feeder, so the operator don't need to keep swapping them in and out, thus there's no labor cost. @JLCPCBsupport, The OP's question is not about the difference between Basic and Extended parts and why there is a cost difference. The question is why the process for ordering pick and place/ SMT/ Assembly service does not show the basic/extended designation on parts? In some cases it may be possible for a user to decide to replace an Extended part with a Basic part and so reduce the cost but if the basic/extended status of the parts are not clearly identified then it is difficult for the user to do this easily.

Hi, I was going to report the same issue, @JLCPCBsupport. Before this new version, the components were nicely ordered between basic and extended components. Such identification and division make the ordering process very easy, because I don't have to worry about the basic components (I almost always assemble them) and select which extended component I really want. Now, I need to check each component! It's a very slow process... :(
