Hello, I was looking to use this female receptacle to charge my lipo battery via a mcp 73831 chip, is there a way to ensure it stays as an input and not an output potentially damaging my power source? Also, I put together a design to test my theory and it has been charging at a reduced rate than expected, are there any other pins I should be utilizing other than the VBUS and GND pins to ensure maximum utilization of the product? Thank you

Hello ; I don't understand what do you mean by : > "is there a way to ensure it stays as an input and not an output potentially damaging my power source?" The circuit has already a Input/Output pins that can't be changed.. the prog pin used only to manage charging current. Please note that this circuit has a 500 mA capability so do not expect a great performance in terms of charging time.. find more details about it through its Datasheet : [https://pdf1.alldatasheet.com/datasheet-pdf/view/305677/MICROCHIP/MCP73831.html](https://pdf1.alldatasheet.com/datasheet-pdf/view/305677/MICROCHIP/MCP73831.html) This is circuit diagram guide that could help you through the necessary components to use around the circuit 😊 ![3576d6aff988f7fce83bd9d00d35604a.png](//image.easyeda.com/pullimage/WB96WgB3o8sDoywy5O6hgjYds7W1s3EufZ2kxVhO.png)
