Running a simulation - variable resistors

So I've built a tone circuit using variable resistors. When I run the simulation I get this error: The simulations has components without a simulation model:r250k_3 What am I doing wrong? Further to this - I cant seem to find where I change the simulation settings. I'm trying to see how the circuit affects the frequency response of an audio signal. Totally new to easy eda, appreciate any help Thanks kev

In simulation at present, you have to use the variable resistor from the EElib. The model for that symbol works but needs improvement because it flags a zero resistance error at 0% and 100% rotation. I will put up an alternative with the zero resistance error fixed.

Thank you so much!!!!!!! So next question how do I change the simulation setting to show freq response? And Should U use a voltage source or function generator? Kev

This is why we have a topic marked [Must read]. Please see (3) in (2) in: [https://easyeda.com/forum/topic/How-to-ask-for-help-and-get-an-answer-71b17a40d15442349eaecbfae083e46a](https://easyeda.com/forum/topic/How-to-ask-for-help-and-get-an-answer-71b17a40d15442349eaecbfae083e46a) You can use the instruments in the EELib if you wish but I would recommend keeping it simple and follow the examples in the link above. I have just been working on this to get it to run in LTspice so you might like to have a look at: [https://easyeda\.com/example/Demonstrating\_the\_EasyEDA\_LM386\_spice\_subckt\_model\-pgoiAgM4m](https://easyeda.com/example/Demonstrating_the_EasyEDA_LM386_spice_subckt_model-pgoiAgM4m) which demonstrates most of what you're asking about. :)

This is great. I had been following the youtube tutorials which are out of date. Thanks ever so much for this.

Any problems running or understanding any of the sims, just post back. Some of the later examples using the .measure statements may not work as they've not been updated to LTspice syntax yet.

Hey, How do I use "copy of the LM386EE.sub.txt attachment"

@kgreene1983, Unless you want to run LM386 sims natively in a local installation of LTspice, you don't need to. I put the attachment there following a particularly ungracious comment in this thread: [http://www.edaboard.co.uk/lm386-and-spice-t549151,start,30.html](http://www.edaboard.co.uk/lm386-and-spice-t549151,start,30.html)
