I've managed to make my little design, fabricate an enclosure (might post pics later). However even with a small 40cm cpu fan, it still runs abit hot. I can get it up to 3amp 12v dc before any problems. I was hoping for at least 5amp minimum. Was wandering if anyone could help? A circuit like this should not need fan cooling! I expect that the heat is coming from the tracks. They are way too narrow for more than a few tens of mA. Have a Google for "trace width calculator" and calculate your required trace widths for 0.5 ounce copper weight and a given temperature rise at a given current.
