Dear all, I have a question, can someone tell me if there is any to switch 3 output with single TTL signal? e.g puls 1 -> Out 1 puls 2 -> Out 2 puls 3 -> Out 3 puls 1 -> Out 1 puls 1 -> Out 2 etc.. Corrected version: puls 1 -> Out 1 puls 2 -> Out 2 puls 3 -> Out 3 puls 4 -> Out 1 puls 5 -> Out 2 puls 6 -> Out 3 etc.
![switching.png](//image.easyeda.com/pullimage/liFbto6YrRqYWnwNlWNBs5wxvZ0yBQnMmAbRG28m.png)

Your written list of outputs (A): puls 1 -> Out 1 puls 2 -> Out 2 puls 3 -> Out 3 puls 1 -> Out 1 puls 1 -> Out 2 appears to be different from your sketch which seems to illustrate (B): puls 1 -> Out 1 puls 2 -> Out 2 puls 3 -> Out 3 puls 4 -> Out 1 puls 5 -> Out 2 puls 6 -> Out 3 Assuming that (B) represents your requirement, you may be able to use something like the 74HCT4017: [https://assets.nexperia.com/documents/data-sheet/74HC_HCT4017.pdf](https://assets.nexperia.com/documents/data-sheet/74HC_HCT4017.pdf)

with three AND gates to do what you wish but you need to clarify exactly what you want to achieve by drawing a more detailed timing diagram, similar to Figure 5 in the datasheet, clearly showing the input pulse train, the pulse train from each output, the clock and your control signal(s). You need to check the timing carefully to be sure there are no glitches or so-called runt pulses when the outputs change state. You can simulate the 74HC4017 in EasyEDA but you **must** first read the Simulation Tutorial (3) in (2) in: [https://easyeda.com/forum/topic/How-to-ask-for-help-and-get-an-answer-71b17a40d15442349eaecbfae083e46a](https://easyeda.com/forum/topic/How-to-ask-for-help-and-get-an-answer-71b17a40d15442349eaecbfae083e46a)

yes, you are absolutely right. My requirement is (B). I will go through all this information. Thank you very much putting me in right direction.

I think if you connect the Q3 output to the MR input then the 4017 will cycle through the first three Q0 to Q2 outputs. Then if you AND each of the three outputs with the clock you should get the three pulses demultiplexed. As I say, you must check the timings carefully.

Yes, that works: [https://oshwlab\.com/andyfierman/4017\_3\_output\_pulser](https://oshwlab.com/andyfierman/4017_3_output_pulser)

:)
