Unavailable IC - procedure

I've built a simple PCB however the two IC's it requires are not available from LCSC or JLCPCB. Everything else is. So what's the usual procedure that people adopt for integrating additional IC's from 3rd party suppliers? I'm very new to this and want to get it right first time if at all possible! I know I can get the required IC's from aliexpress, but I will ideally want to get everything assembled by JLCPCB as they are SMD (SOP24) any assistance gratefully received.

Hey! First solution would be to use a similar IC that they have available for assembly, if possible. If not, then I'd just buy the IC's locally or the Aliexpress route and I'd solder them myself. I know all the stores in my city that sell electronic components and usually see if they have the thing before I start the project, so I can test to see if everything fits on paper PCB and also test them and so on. And soldering SO packages by hand should not be that hard, you can do each pin separately or even try to drag solder them. Don't forget the right amount of flux! If you really can't solder that well yet, you can try to see a local hacker/maker space that probably has people that can. Depends on your location, though. I used to live 30km from the closest city in the middle of a field, so I know the struggle.

Between accidental select-then-type-and-send and Autocorrupt: we're all domed... :o

understood! Yes, I'm just getting to grips with the delight of SMD soldering. So fortunately DM13A has equivalents which I can load into this project, so we're looking good so far. Understood re sourcing additional components and soldering by hand - I like the neatness of machine assembly, but if we're constrained by availability, then so be it. Thanks for your advice!

@mark.p.edwards, Something I can recommend from personal experience for reworking SMD: [https://www.chipquik.com/store/index.php?cPath=2200](https://www.chipquik.com/store/index.php?cPath=2200)<br> <br> [https://cpc.farnell.com/chip-quik/smd1nl/smd-removal-kit-pb-free/dp/SD01433](https://cpc.farnell.com/chip-quik/smd1nl/smd-removal-kit-pb-free/dp/SD01433)
