Problem on Variable Resister-SMD

may i know how to know variable resistor (SMD) is broken and the reason. It is because of my way of soldering using hot air gun? When i checking the connectivity, i found out the pin 2 and 3 have connection on PCB. Then, i unsolder and again check the connectivity, also same, have connection between that pin.

In my circuit both pin not connected. So i unsolder and check connectivity on the resister only, same have connection.  for the ner resister, the result of connectivity is not connected between all the pin

Can you tell me the part number of LCSC? Is the part pin2 connected to pin3, or only the PCB pad2 connected to pad3 of this footprint? if only this one part pin2 connects pin3, seems it is a quality issue.
