I noticed recently that all WS2812 <span class="colour" style="color: rgb(32, 33, 36);">addressable LEDs </span>have been removed from the SMT library. Is this permanent?
Hello
Thank you for the time taken to write to us here ;
About the WS28xx LEDs this is a temporary situation and it will be restored to the stocks soon, some storage requirements are needed for this kind of components so we are making the necessary upgrades and we will put it back once we set all the necessary requirements.
We are counting on your understanding.
That's actually really great to hear. I've heard of a few friends having trouble with failed WS2812 chips due to moisture.
The fact that you're solving this problem is awesome and shows responsiveness to your customer's needs. Really looking forward to being able to order more LED parts.
@hypher Hi Yona :)
Yes it is the fact that due to moisture we temporarily hold the assembly of the WS28xx parts. We will back here to this post to publish the updates.
Every single customer's opinion counts, this is how we progress.
Thank you for your comment.
If you're improving storage for addressable LEDs, have you considered stocking the small SMD2020 WS2812s ([https://lcsc\.com/product\-detail/Light\-Emitting\-Diodes\-LED\_Worldsemi\-WS2812B\-2020\_C965555\.html](https://lcsc.com/product-detail/Light-Emitting-Diodes-LED_Worldsemi-WS2812B-2020_C965555.html)), or the side-emitting SK6812s (not currently at LCSC)? Those would be very useful for many LED-based projects. Thanks.
@hypher @shaunjamesarmstrong Hello
