What does the x sign mean for nets ?

Hello, I'm new to this, I'm just learning how to make PCB designs. but on the nets folder there is an "X" sign, what does that mean? The X symbol in the Schematic  Editor tells the  neylidtervthat a component pin has no connection to it. Then when you convert the schematic to a PCB, the unconnected pin does not show up as an unconnected pin error in the PCB Design Manager.
