Hello everybody!
Im creating a LED array witch would benefit from having "modules" since its 8 groups of identical patterns of LEDs (x3), resistors (x3) and transistors (1x).
The end goal is to create sweeping turn indicators, based on a ATTiny85 and 74HC595, a PCB to act as a drop-in replacement for the original turn indicator light-bulbs.
I would wish to create a module of a group, with its 3 LEDs, 3 resistors and a transistor as a schematic module, and also create a PCB module for this group, so when i add the module to my project, i can place the whole PCB module within the PCB layout, like a copy/paste to ge the exact (arrow, ">") pattern of LED´s that im after.
The PCB layout of each group of items is quite crucial, the LED´s have to be in a exact pattern (">") in relation to eachother, and it would be easier for me if the rest of the items would be "fixed" within the group, allowing moving the whole group as one entity, instead of trying to place each of the 24 LED´s individually.
In other words, placing 8 "group entities" instead of 24+24+8 items separately on the PCB.
Now, from what i understand, the "Schematic module" and "PCB Module" are supposed to be the answer im looking for, but i seem to be unable to link the PCB module to the Schematic module im creating as a experiment.
Is there some tricks involved or am i just missing the point here?
