@cameron onan, You can create surface mount pads:  However, you need to create a dedicated PCB Footprint for a test point and then either create a dedicated Schematic Symbol for it or use any Schematic Symbol for a single pin connector and update the "Package" attribute of every instance of the symbol in the schematic to the name of the dedicated PCB Footprint (hint: do it for the first instance then copy and paste the others). Just in library search for "testpoint" and add it to your schematic, same like when you add components.

@kamalzakhoy, "Just in library search for "testpoint" and add it to your schematic..." but check that it has an appropriate footprint assigned to it. :)
