The Copper Area Manager allows you to set the clearance which scales the spokes.
You can select spokes or continuous copper connection and keeping unconnected island of copper or not, in the right hand panel when you select the copper area.
Thanks for the reply, but the spoke option is only to turn them on and off, as I mentioned in the beginning. And the clearance will increase clearance everywhere which is undesirable. I was wondering if there is any possibility to only adjust the setting for the thermal relief? Thinner cobber connections, longer connections, number of spokes, etc.
@christian.wilhelmsen2012,
At present there is no way to individually modify adjust the setting for the thermal relief spoke width, length, number.
This is not as simple a feature as it may appear.
Please raise a **Feature Request** and describe in detail how you would like this feature to work.
* For example, how would it apply to the thermal reliefs on the different shaped and sized pads that may all be on the same net?
* Would it apply on a per pad basis or on all pads of a certain size/shape?
* Should these properties be a set of attributes assigned to the pads in a footprint when it is first created so that when it is placed on the board, any subsequent copper area then "just knows" how to create the thermal reliefs?

The default width of 0 leaves the spoke width auto-defined.
I would also like to second (or third) this request. The thermal relief spokes need to be adjustable. The current design spokes are too large, and prevent proper soldering/desoldering, sometimes damaging board. Please find a way to do this on your very good product to make it even better...
Yes, but there is a bug and doesn't work.
On top layer the spoke width e.g. 0.1mm works. On the bottom layer it doesn't work. The size stays always the same when I click on Rebuild copper area. That makes me mad.
Your pictures and description make it hard to understand what you seem to be seeing.
The spoke width settings work fine for me in Chromium.
Note that :
* it is possible to set different width values in the Top and Bottom Layers;
* spoke widths between about 0.2mm and zero set a minimum spoke width;
* a spoke width of 0 sets the default width and not a zero spoke width;
* the default spoke width scales with the pad dimensions. Specified spoke widths do not;
