Ammeter not in the system library

Hi I read up on the spice simulation tutorial and there was a nice article about probing. In this article I found you can use an ammeter to probe voltages. I could not find it in the standard EELib. I did find a lot of them in the user contributions section. In the simulation article it also is mentioned to avoid user contributed models. So which one to use? I see that Andy Fierman uploaded an Ammeter. Should I use that one? Same question for the Diff_V_Probe. Cheers, Martin

I created both the Ammeter and the Diff_V_Probe. They are fully tested and good to use.

Ok so use your version. May I ask why they are not included in the standard library?

The Mulitmeter in the EElib is intended to replace both the Ammeter and the Voltmeter. The Ammeter used to be in the System library but for some reason in the switch from Ngspice to LTspice it disappeared from there. There used to be a Voltmeter probe too which also disappeared along with the model that made it work. So I created the Diff_V_Probe because I don't have access to the code to rebuild the original version. I'll try to get them moved into the System Library. :)
