Text can only be multi-line in text fields in the Schematic and PCB Editors. **CTRL+Enter** in a text field inserts a new line but there is a bug when editing text fields that have already been placed which causes **CTRL+Enter** to be ignored sometimes. A workaround for this is to insert a space before doing **CTRL+Enter.** It is easiest to edit text in the text field in the editor canvas and not in the text attribute in the right hand panel. Net labels and symbol or footprint names do not support multi-line text.
