Hi All. I'd like to use the Block VB 1.0/2/9 transformer (RS 310-1358) transformer in my design but it's footprint does not appear to be in the library, there are other power / voltage ones with different pin spacing. I have downloaded its .EPW file bit read these can not be uploaded? How can I get around this so I can use it? Thanks for any help ;-) Mark, England.

If you cannot find a suitable Symbol and Footprint in the libraries, you can create your own schematic Symbol and PCB Footprint. Please refer to the Tutorial.

You could clone one of these and edit the symbol and footprint to your requirements: ![image.png](//image.easyeda.com/pullimage/6z5DBgJ6pzvrOmx8xEb8TRPEefxKLrsqskb1bgn8.png)

How do I link the schematic part I created to the footprint. I have saved both parts.

Compared to the pcb design, why has footprint creation been made so difficult?

Ah, so this forum merely points people from one place to another, as opposed to giving real answers, kind of hide-&-seek.

@matchboxMark, If we wrote a full descriptive answer to every user's questions every time it was asked, we would never get anything else done. Much of the documentation outwith the basic Tutorial is written based on several years of answering such questions. You are quite welcome to search the forum yourself or to simply ignore suggestions for help and wait for others on the forum to supply detailed answers to your questions.

@matchboxMark, In particular, having answered your question on this subject in your double post here: [https://easyeda.com/forum/topic/How-do-I-link-the-created-schematic-part-to-the-created-footprint-part-The-tutorial-is-not-very-clear-69a715a47bff4d8a90971316406a5605](https://easyeda.com/forum/topic/How-do-I-link-the-created-schematic-part-to-the-created-footprint-part-The-tutorial-is-not-very-clear-69a715a47bff4d8a90971316406a5605)

I consider your remark above somewhat ungracious.
