I can't see bottom copper layer in the gerber file viewer provided by JLC PCB even though Gerber_BottomLayer.GBL file is included in the gerber zip file. please instruct

Hello Harendra_Henadeera! Can you share your project so that we can download the gerbers so that we can try it ourselves? Hopefully then we can derive a solution that way :-) Regards, Markus Virtanen HW / Electronics Designer

@Harendra_Henadeera, Please install and use gerbv as recommended in the Tutorial: [https://docs.easyeda.com/en/PCB/Gerber-Generate/index.html#Gerber-View](https://docs.easyeda.com/en/PCB/Gerber-Generate/index.html#Gerber-View)

@markus_jidoka Thanks Markus I emailed gerber file to Andy Jiang in [Support@jlcpcb.co](mailto:Support@jlcpcb.co)m Can you share with him cos I don't have your email. Thanks Harendra

@Harendra_Henadeera, Have you created this PCB directly in the EasyEDA PCB Editor without a first creating a Schematic?

@andyfierman Yes, Cos Schematic complicate

 **This is what Andy Jiang told me in the support center few minutes ago** "For gerber view problem:Sometimes, not all the files can be analyzed/ displayed correctly on the website, so you can just ignore it and proceed. We will check your file, if there is any issue with it, we will keep you informed so don’t worry about it."

@Harendra_Henadeera, I have checked your Gerbers in gerbv and they are fine. The bottom layer just has pads on it because you have no traces on the bottom layer. * You should always check your Gerbers yourself using gerbv. That way your PCB fabrication will not be held up waiting for any problem to be analysed and resolved by JLCPCB. * "Have you created this PCB directly in the EasyEDA PCB Editor without a first creating a Schematic?" "Yes, Cos Schematic complicate" That is exactly why we recommend that you always start by creating a properly constructed Schematic and then do Convert to PCB to create PCB. There is far less room for errors and it is much easier to check that your PCB is correct before submission.

Hi! This is way too time consuming to reverse engineer to make a reliable schematic out of this PCB. One thing I did noticed that there is no bottom layer. And there is several ground names: S$64657 S$64771 S$64737 S$64766 and so on..... You need to name all these ground signal names into GND and then make a bottom copper layer and name it as GND Regards, Markus Virtanen HW / Electronics Designer

@markus_jidoka Dear Markus First of all thanks you guys involvement to my problem. By the way I toke easy way out .That is copper tracks only on the top using plated through the holes bottom side just pads. Please confirm is it ok ? At the same time I tried PCB layout which I created without schematic by Auto Routing then I could developed a PCB with bottom side copper tracks or on both sides.

Hi Harendra_Henadeera! Depending on how you manufacture this board the plated through holes are standard in PCB manufacturing services. So, yes bottom layer has just pads. And these pads are connected to the top layer via plated through holes if you order this from JLCPCB, PCBWAY, PCBCART, etc.... But if you etch this board yourself, then of course you don't get plated through holes, just pads on the bottom that are not connected to the top layer. But the golden rule of thumb is: make the schematic first in order to that you can verify your design by using ERC and DRC tools. This way you can minimize that you do not route your tracks into wrong pins between the components and thus making a faulty PCB, making sure that your circuit is not working in first place. @Harendra_Henadeera, To help your future designs, you might find it useful to study the Design Flow in (1) and to read (2.2), (4) and (6) in (2) in: [https://easyeda.com/forum/topic/How-to-ask-for-help-and-get-an-answer-71b17a40d15442349eaecbfae083e46a](https://easyeda.com/forum/topic/How-to-ask-for-help-and-get-an-answer-71b17a40d15442349eaecbfae083e46a)
