**CTRL+Enter** in a text field inserts a new line but there is a bug when editing text fields that have already been placed which causes **CTRL+Enter** to be ignored sometimes. A workaround for this is to insert a space before doing **CTRL+Enter.**

OK, got it. Edit the text in a text box to add a new line using **CTRL+Enter**; Close the text box by left-clicking on the canvas outside the box; The new line is ignored. Edit the text in a text box to add a new line using **CTRL+Enter**; Close the text box by pressing **Enter**; The new line is entered correctly. This is demonstrated in the animated gif below: ![deepin-screen-recorder_Select area_20210616230600.gif](//image.easyeda.com/pullimage/BDFwLp1Q4k6Tya2fKZS27MmcdAwNlasDNKyJmWKL.gif)
