I studied that design but I could not tell how the overhanging components were made to not generate DRC errors.  That design does have 60+ DRC errors for clearance on capacitor leads but none on the components.  I am trying to place a right angle JST-XH connector over the board edge.  If I do that I get 2 DRC violations: Track Width:  Clearance:  I noticed in the example design that the designer disabled the "Check Object to Board Outline" feature in the DRC.  I did that but it did not help.  Here are my DRC settings:  Is it possible to disable all DRC checks for a specific component?
