Can not place 4th opamp of LM324 on schematic

I am trying to add a 4th opamp of the quad opamp LM324 soic (U1.4) to my schematic but the system insists that it should be U5.4. This causes a whole new IC to be added to the PCB. The system will not even let me change U5.4 to U1.4 it simply flags the message 'U1.4 Exists' and puts it back to U5.4. Please see video.[Can't add 4th opamp](https://youtu.be/T3_W0N8mbuI)

Additional: I have also tried re-annotating and also deleting and re-adding the component and it still will not work! Your project is private so only you can see it. Your video only shows part of the schematic. Check in the Design Manager that you haven't already got a U1.4 somewhere else in any of your schematic sheets.

Try saving, closing then reopening the Project.

Hi, interesting issue. I think a while back I also had a similar problem where I wanted a component placed, but it said that it already existed, but I couldn't see it. I just tested this LM324 IC (LM324-SR_C280708) and in my testing project I could place all 4 symbols and when generating the PCB, it only showed the 1 IC as expected. I can suggest deleting all the LM324 symbols in your schematic, saving the schematic, closing the EDA, then open it again, and then try to add the LM324 again. Another think you could try is to zoom out, see if it hasn't accidentally been added and you just didn't see it, has happened to me. Also, right click on one of the LM324 symbols, select "Find similar objects" and then in the prefix box, set it to same and to the right write U1.4, maybe that will show it to you and you can either use it or delete it to add again. Same thing could be done with searching them by the name, if it's there, it should find it. Hope this helps you! Keep us posted!

Thank you deskpro256 the fourth op amp was way off the page - I feel such an idiot.

@Miopicman, If you open the Design Manager, look through the list of Components for U1.4 and then click on it, the view zooms directly to the element. :)
