I too get this error message 90% of the time.  Yes, using the local auto router v0.7 The local router appears to time out and closes the connection in the command tool and then eventually issues this error message in the PCB tool. v0.8 completes but has bugs and causes DRC errors (shorts). And no, I don't have network issues on my side.
