Cloned a part.
It appears in SCH Libs under Work Space.
Selected it, hit edit.
I see the schematic of the part.
But there is no silk-screen outline. I understand I need to switch to the silk screen layer.
But there is no layers menu. It does not appear!
And there is no option to make it appear.
Needless to say, I am confused.
Also, all of the tutorials about this are outdated and need to be updated.
Please clarify your question and provide a link to (i.e. the url of) the part you are asking about.
Schematic Symbols (a.k.a. SCH Libs) do not have silk screens.
PCB Footprints (a.k.a. PCB Libs) have silk screens.
Please read the Tutorial about Schematic Symbols and PCB Footprints to try to understand the distinction between and function of them.

If your part has a SCH Lib and a PCB Lib preview in the Search Libraries tool then to edit the PCB Lib, double clock on the PCB Lib preview.
