I cannot reproduce this problem. For example, I can place `Text & % * boo &#@ blah` on the Bottom Silk layer, no problem. When you place text on the Bottom layer, it is mirrored right to left, not rotated by 180 degrees. This is because everything on the PCB is viewed looking down onto the top layer. So you see the text through the board not as when viewed from the Bottom layer.

I was using the newest version, but in Safari. Switching to firefox for the job fixed it. Thanks to everyone tho. :)
