Can you join two signals together without incurring DRC errors? - to achieve different track widths

PCBs sometimes require a wide track for power and ground signals to input/output connectors or relays, but these are then too wide to connect to pins of components at 0.5 to 2mm pitch.  I have got round this by using manual wire links between pads, joining wide tracks with narrow tracks of the same effective signal, but using different names of course.  Is there a way to define an automatic link between two widths of track, or two different signals, without incurring DRC errors?

You are thinking about it the wrong way round. You keep the same net names but (manually) adjust the track width as you route them. See "L" and SHIFT+W in: [https://docs.easyeda.com/en/PCB/Route/index.html#Some-Tips-about-Track](https://docs.easyeda.com/en/PCB/Route/index.html#Some-Tips-about-Track)

"Can you join two signals together without incurring DRC errors?" Only if they have the same net name. See: [https://easyeda.com/forum/topic/Net-tie-a-copper-only-component-with-2-pads-to-split-nets-without-DRC-errors-and-multiple-netname-warnings-b6a099bf01bb4055b821ab398ee37b60](https://easyeda.com/forum/topic/Net-tie-a-copper-only-component-with-2-pads-to-split-nets-without-DRC-errors-and-multiple-netname-warnings-b6a099bf01bb4055b821ab398ee37b60)

@andyfierman Thanks for the tutorial link, I hadn't found that and there are some useful shortcuts in there.  Yes I know I could could change track segment widths during routing but manual routing can be exceedingly tedious and long-winded so I use auto-routing, only resorting to manual intervention when it fails.
