Hi dmvieau,
Welcome to EasyEDA.
All files in EasyEDA are [JSON] open format. The EasyEDA JSON open file format is described in this document:
<https://easyeda.com/Doc/Open-File-Format/>
To save your files locally do:
>**Document > EasyEDA Source **
Then click in the window and do:
>**CTRL+A **
to select the all text, then,
>**CTRL+C**
to copy it all.
Then paste it into a text editor and save it locally as a text file.
Note that the file is deliberately formatted with no spaces and no line breaks.
If you need to work on it in EasyEDA, open EasyEDA and, depending on what your file represents, create a new:
>schematic,
>schematic lib (schematic symbol)
>spice symbol
>spice subckt
>pcb
>pcb lib (pcb footprint)
and do:
>**Document > EasyEDA Source **
to open the EasyEDA format window.
Then, open the text file and copy and paste the text back into EasyEDA format window and click Apply to update the display.
Normally, all files in EasyEDA are stored in the cloud (currently on servers in the EU).
There is no limit to file size and numbers.
