Can you elaborate on this? I cannot select the copper area to delete it. I am switching to resistors with a larger footprint and the copper area is in the way.

Just press SHIFT+B to rebuild all copper areas or carefully hover over the dotted line of the copper area outline to highlight and then click on it to select it.

That is what I finally figured out. I went to the outline of the board and zoomed in really good and selected the faint dotted line and hit delete. Whew! But the SHIFT-B trick sounds a lot easier tho. Will try that when the occasion arises.
