@dillon cool, please let us know when this is deployed (a post of the release notes in the forum would be great).

Hi @dillon, just saw you pushed a 4.1.1 version which looks great - tested the dxf import but still doesn't work.

@Obalbous You can send your DXF file to support@easyeda.com we will guid you how to fix this. EasyEDA can't support block of DXF, just simply line and arc etc.

@dillon I tried using your sample file : https://easyeda.com/Doc/Tutorial/images/test.dxf

Obalous, Has your EasyEDA version actually updated itself to V4.1.1?

Please note, the sample file can't be imported, but your file maybe OK. If you have problem, we can send via email for the DXF. We do have some DXF can't be imported, but lots of can be imported.

good job guys! the import isn't perfect, some holes aren't at the right position but most of them are, and the board outline is correct.

Import still is not working, I can't continue my project in PCB mode without being able to either import an SVG or a DXF that I've modeled elsewhere.

@Dcaseytucker we should fix that, can you send your DXF file to support@easyeda.com ?

I found this solution: download and install "pCon.planner", a free software for home design. With it, open your customized boardOutline in DXF format; then File -> Export -> Geometry commands. Select yet DXF as "save as type" and a new file name. So try to import it into EasyEDA, it always worked to me!

HELLO . HOW CAN I SAVE MY PROJECT AS A DXF FILE ?
Reply
andyfierman 7 years ago
@Abd1234, Sorry but EasyEDA does not support exporting files to DXF format. Supported export formats are described in the EasyEDA Tutorial: https://easyeda.com/Doc/Tutorial/export.htm#Export
