Existing advice is unclear and conflicting. I want to pour copper into a Solid Region, but within that region there are rectangles where copper must not go. The forum suggestion is to create additional Solid Regions for those rectangles where copper is to be excluded, and to set them to type Board Cutout. If I do this, the photoview and 3D view show a hole right through the whole board. I don't want a hole; I only want to keep the copper out of the area on the specified layer.
Alternatively, if I set the exclusion rectangles to type No Solid, it has no effect on the copper pour done by the enclosing Solid Region, at least as shown by photoview and 3d view.
What is the correct technique please? (I am hoping it does not involve multiple Solid Regions navigating around my "keep out" areas.)
