You can change the DRC rule, or change them clearance manually

Great, thanks!  I find this tool intuitive and were able to design and construct a working PCB. However I became overwhelmed the more I tried to create a  more detailed PCB; not only with the product but with my lack of knowledge of the process and terminology. Thanks for the advice. N4WDL
