Hi Friends!
I am about to create a new PCB footprint for some header connectors that I need to Custom make and have 2 questions below.
Question 1:
The pins of the component I want to use has a diameter width of 1.1mm.
-Should I make the pin holes in the PCB footprint to be exactly 1.1mm dia width as well, or should I make them slightly larger so that I make sure they will fit?
If Yes, on making them larger, what would be a good value?
Is there a standard rule here?
Question 2:
The Spacing between the pin´s on the component is a standard of 2.54mm.
When creating the right distance between the holes in the PCB footprint, Should the distance between the Pin-Holes be measured between the center of each hole?
Apologies for my noob questions.
Thank you for your time and help!
