Connecting Traces

I'm new to this software, so this may be a dumb question.  How do I connect one trace to another?  For example, I have one long trace carrying VCC that runs across the board and I want to attach a number of smaller traces to it that connect to various components.  Like so: \_\_\.\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\.\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\.\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_ \+5    \|               \|                  \| I want to connect them at the point where the dots are.  I can get them to cross, but they don't connect and when I click on design rule check, it puts an X over those spots where they cross.  With the other program I have been using I just click over the trace I want to connect to and it creates a junction at that point. Thanks for the help!

Start by designing a schematic and then do Convert to PCB. It will save so much pain. Please read: [https://easyeda\.com/andyfierman/Welcome\_to\_EasyEDA\-31e1288f882e49e582699b8eb7fe9b1f](https://easyeda.com/andyfierman/Welcome_to_EasyEDA-31e1288f882e49e582699b8eb7fe9b1f) If you _really_ don't want to start from a schematic then please read: [https://easyeda\.com/forum/topic/How\_does\_the\_Connect\_Pad\_to\_Pad\_tool\_work\_\-JgQO0Ay7H](https://easyeda.com/forum/topic/How_does_the_Connect_Pad_to_Pad_tool_work_-JgQO0Ay7H)
